You Know The Dude

he’s a magical man
from a mystical land
and in some way
we all still believe in him
the coolest ol’ guy
you’ll ever meet
known the world over
by so many names
in these parts -
Santa Claus
yeah! Santa Claus!
you know the dude
that crazy ol' man
with the long white beard
some folks see him
as really weird
but he’s only the love
within us all
on Christmas eve
they track him on radar
if you don’t believe
turn on the evening news!
Rudolph’s nose
shines like a high beam
for eight flying reindeer
pulling Santa in his sleigh
gifts stuffed to the top
of his bottomless sack
no doubt about it
the jolliest ol’ guy
you’ll ever know
makes everyone a kid again
on Christmas day
and with a hardy Ho Ho Ho!
he’s on his way
bringing smiles to faces
all round the world
yeah! Santa Claus!
you know the dude
