Paige Beige

by A. Paige White

They laugh in the streets of their very own city
and they laugh a lot.
Is it so hard to believe that the homeless could laugh so deep?
So long?
Learn to be so carefree?

Is it hard to believe that God chose to walk dusty paths before motorized vehicles
And had no home of his own either?
Is it really hard to believe He would share so much laughter with some He's chosen
to walk dusty streets a couple thousand years later?

I laugh at modern Psychology sometimes, too.

Come.
Let us Meducate you.
Your brain chemistry is awry.

Crazy Joe told us how it is.
When an alligator swims by in the Kanawha, it will turn a carpenter into an engineer.
And that gator can be 30 feet long!

I still await His newest designs.

Author's Note: Pardon me. I'm just practicing obedience for my wedding vows to become Paige White and I think I've got to take it in stages. I'm still Beige.

...classic observations, paige...we know God in so many ways...a gap-toothed grin of a street person, a giggle from a kid, well ya' know.

Great first two stanzas and I like the term "meducate". Ha! I did not know Crazy Joe's until now - thanks for getting me up to date. I can't tell if your up-coming wedding is tongue in cheek or something that is going to happen?? Fun with colors, nevertheless. Thanks, Paige.

Fun, intellectually stimulating read, Paige. The Author's Note makes it sound all the more crazy, but again, in a fun way. Quite original!
