Afghanistan

by Gregory R Schelske

Citrus sun
and clever thrush,
bluebird's sonnet
amidst the rush
of broken arrows
and desert cries-
where clouds echo
blue target skies.

Author's Note: Currently living in Bagram, Afgahnistan. I am witness to creation's song and the devil's destruction every moment of every day.
