Two Haiku

by Alli Martel

You stand on the moors
of my heart, in deep shadow
and on gray hillock.

Others ramble. But
you choose to remain solid,
stooping among peat.

This is lovely - welcome to Pathetic :)

Perhaps I am mispronouncing something, but the line "and gray hillock" only seems to have 4 syllables which does not make it a haiku.

heh There we go! The first haiku is my favorite.

Very nice. Definitely has that outdoorsy feel to it/them.

I can't claim to know how to write in the style of Haiku, as I've never written any, but I still enjoy them sooo much. I seemed to enjoy the first one/part the best of all. :)

And here, another voice is added to the echoes across the moors.

I can't remember the last time I saw haiku in a POTD. And I enjoyed them. Thanks Alli.
