It Stalks, It Eats

by James Blaylock

It Stalks, It Eats

the darkness hid

the creature well,

it would roam the blackness under

the covering of blindness, so easily

even its' red eyes were not seen

by all the wandering drunkards...

it could eat at will and

no one was the wiser

Chilling reminder of just how powerless we humans can be under the right conditions.

Well, this leaves it all to the imagination, which is where we seem to create the scariest stuff - well done.
