Chasing the wild aardwolf - limerick for Linda

by Kristina Woodhill

Attracting an aardwolf named Punk
An odd spell within the Oak's trunk
Confused by the itching
Of inner ants' twitching
Hoped “wolf” meant a “vark” with great spunk!

LOL! It's been a while since I've read a limerick as humourous and witty as this. Aardwolf had me scratching my head (is there such a beast?), trying to remember the last time I saw one, even on TV. :o)

Oh, they’re spunky, these aardwolves and varks
and they speak with such clamorous barks
as to fill the night air
with a deafening blare
and their tails curl like furred question marks
I've never had a limerick written for me before - thanks! :)
