A LETTER TO G-D

by Joan Serratelli

I have no right
to ask
IF I had to;
I would
get on my hands and knees
and beg

I am her mother
I love her more
than I can say

LIFE is not fair
but this child
needs your help

PLEASE, if someone
has to die;
let it be me

She means the world
to me
spare her the agony
She cannot take yet
another defeat

I've always asked to be taken in place of any of my children...and it was Tennyson who said: "more things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of..." Thanks.

I think most parents including myself would be willing to make that sacrafice. I've spent enough time on this planet anyways. Well stated Joan.

Spoken as only a mother could. May your prayers be answered.

I'm not a mother yet, but my soul aches for the children to come...you're a wonderful mother and hopefully your prayers are answered as you wish.
