finding God is not that hard

by Charlie Morgan

it seemed to be an art form,
the way he carried the day.

his smile pushed-away all the clouds.
made way for the open door to heaven.

he sat with his curious grandson,
'had he seen the face of God?'

no, not yet, his granddaddy said.
he said he had; and if his granpa
hurried he could see him too.

he was feeding pidgeons in the park,
and he had given all his teeth away.

and to not be frightened by his toothless grin.
he gives the warmest hugs if you sit beside him.

Strong image indeed. Captured so well, too.

Oh yes, and innocence is such a beautiful thing but only in a few does it seem to last forever. Great write Charlie.

Brillinat Charlie. It makes me feel like sitting by a fire on a cold winter's day with a cup of hot cocoa in one hand and a book in the other!

Amen brotha Charles. A delight to read. Wonderful candy for the mind here...in its rich imagery throughout. Adds to favorites.

Good thing for all of us that God's the best creator/engineer and engineers every opportunity we meet to "find" Him. Some of my most memorable occasions have been with my grandchildren, too. Beautifully written (and lived!).
