Alchemy

by Jayme L Helmick

The wolf in me
Devours me
To create something new
A kaleidoscope of rainbows dance
Where I used to be
A white guardian embraces me...
With the sun in my heart
And the moon for a crown
I fight through salty life
and crash against waves of
chaos
Erupting from flames of renewal
(The breast of the Mother)
I am left changed
Shaken
Torn
Refined
Full from the feast
And ready to begin again.
I am frightened
of this new world
this new me
but I must step boldly
For I know
I am not alone
Not without hope
Not without power
My wings unfurl
in the dark
As I dust off the ashes
And rise again,
To meet another me.

Welcome, 2011, and blessed be.

From the Phoenix flies the nightingale. And from your ash the voice of reason and the prospect of all things possible. I admire the brevity, weight and texture of this resolution. The paraqdigm shift is on.

Mythic - the elements of life all involved here. Really an enjoyable read. Congrats on POTD!
