I Love You

by Joan Serratelli

I love you
that will never change
Whatever you do;
wherever you are
I love you

You are part of me
I am proud of you

You bottomed out
and bounced back
You did not give up

You went to hell
and came back
A better person
a person who
had the courage
to change

I love you
I ALWAYS will

If we let it love will stay in perpetual forward motion. Maybe not fast, sometimes slow, but at certain constant. That can be very satidfying....grace happens. Thanks.

A lovely poem to end the year.

For your daughter, but also to yourself. I see a lot of myself in this as well, as there were times it wasn't clear I'd make it; and if we survive, there's nothing in wrong in loving ourselves.
