(batteries not included) by Charlie Morgan
the kid sat, not understanding.
the toys were motionless;
their cries are not heard.
batteries! batteries!
silently-screamed the toys.
the next morning the toys
were all facing the statue
of Jesus, prostrating themselves.
and 'life was blown into them.'
Buzz Lightyear, Woody, gal-pal Jessie
and Buckshot rode off into the sunset;
"yeeeehiii. ride 'em cowboy!"
Jessie exclaims, "thank You Jesus."
nods Woody, Buzz, Buckshot, "Yeah
thank you, Jesus for (no batteries included)."

| Posted by George Hoerner on 01/01/11 at 04:31 AM Think of all the money someone makes because we buy all those batteries this time of year. I wonder when we'll see toys which will run from the light of the sun. |
