Phantoms on Thin Air by Clara Mae GregoryPhantom friends
say they care,
Yet, when reality claims them-
they're not there.
Like magic, they disappear
while suffocating
from their own thin air.

| Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 11/28/10 at 06:08 PM Ooooh, well chosen words, all! I especially liked the idea of them suffocating in their thin(ghostly) air. |

and your use of imagery encloses it transparently within the sphere of poetry... |

passing nothing
sings the song of no one near
when bluebird whispers
