Tiger's Wood

by Linda Fuller

Oh Elin, I’m feelin’
that you’re not feelin’ me
I tell you that I’m sorry
but you ignore my plea.

Those women, they meant nothing
ball-washers one and all
I never hit their sweet spots
for I am in your thrall.

Though we engaged in stroke play
and made the goldie bounce
I swear it’s just a darn plugged lie
I ever shot an ounce.

Oh Elin, I’m kneelin’
my guilt’s an albatross
if you should ever leave me
I could not bear the loss.

I can't imagine why anyone who is a "star" in any profession would ever get married. Even if you both happen to be "faithful" you have the chance that someone might say you aren't or try to threaten you with all kinds of things that couldn't be proved one way or another. So you buys your ticket and you takes your chances since these things seem to be more about power than sex anyway.

The price of being in the public eye. I find it hard to believe she didn't suspect a thing. And he shouldn't have gotten married in the first place, but as always, "hindsight is 20/20." Good poem, but so you're saying you didn't write this???

..and these days, Tiger's putter seems to be so useless to him...hmmm..I wonder if there's a connection.

hahahahahhaahhaha - perhaps a few humble visits to the sand traps might smooth up his game. perhaps... ;)
