Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 07/19/10 at 06:49 PM One man may see something with all much vivid depth and color, while another may view the same object/person/belief as only shadowy...guess folk will always custom design their own rainbow. Great write. Thanks.
Posted by Clara Mae Gregory on 07/19/10 at 07:38 PM Interesting concepts using color.I like this one, especially when viewed with color symbolism in mind-white being for purity. Colors of belief representing people, or even people's human traits of emotions.Of course, the color that we appear to see depends on the amount of light and is also based on the light waves reflected and absorbed by objects. Pure white light is all the color light waves combined and we only see the distinct colors when broken up through a prism, hence, the rainbow.Without the light, we would see no colors at all.
Posted by Glenn Currier on 07/19/10 at 07:44 PM I relate to this in a different way - based, of course, on my own experience. I hear the congregation singing, expressing many emotions (colors) and then the preacher reveals the doctrinal message (without much color) and I am sitting in the pew hoping he will see new horizons or something joyful or challenging or really meaningful on the horizon. I have been in that particular pew. Oh, how we filter what we read! Thanks for the great painting, George.

Posted by Laurie Blum on 07/20/10 at 04:50 PM I like the way you've used the colors to express how we all see life a little bit differently. Quite an alluring poem George.
