Go

by George Hoerner

thanking the sky

i took a breath of air

bowing to the sun

i opened my eyes

i watch as my horizons

pass me by

and bless them

as they go

so simple so real so wonderful so beautiful so musical is this ode like the world used to be and so brimming with gratitude for live at once lived and never to be forgotten.

Oh so sweetly said, my friend. I see the sunsets and the many horizons of a life well lived. But more than that, the ability to breathe deeply of the now and to rejoice in it. Thanks for this lovely piece, George.
