Sparks

by George Hoerner

the explosion/implosion

the feeling undeniable

and nearly indefinable

when two people

simultaneously see hear feel

something they believe

they have never seen before

and maybe never will again

the tingle down the spine

of intensity discovery

when you’ve crossed

the finish line first

for the first time

when you saw

through a telescope

or microscope

the expanse

of the universe

or the life

in a drop of water

IMHO this is terrific. It samples the specific, yet remains wide open, as discovery is not just the conquest of new landscapes, but also having new eyes. Delighted. Thanks.

I really like how you contract and expand this with your images - you have touched that wonder of life itself, that profound "aha!). Thanks very much!
