Every Day by James A HoltEvery day it gets easier.
Falling back into the same
Old patterns of life.
Eight months isn't all that long.
You still left an impact
That I could never erase.
I gave you so much.
All you left for me in your
Wake was silence.
I hope you are truly happy.
Deserving that much is the
Least I can hope for.
Every day I continue my endeavors.
My life is not meant
To be lived alone. 03/31/2010 Posted on 03/31/2010 Copyright © 2023 James A Holt

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 04/02/10 at 08:30 PM I like the simple approach to this poem, the passage of time with the implied healing, and the use of "every day" for moving forward. Thank you. |
