by Kristina Woodhill

Camellia sinensis,
carefully steeped,
heat stirring to
truth,
swirls confusing
confusion;
clarify;
and you tell me
my future comes
from what is left behind

Reading the tea leaves, huh?...colorful treatment of the genre..and quite clever, Kristina

"confusing / confusion" - I like that! Personally, I spend more time spitting the leaves out than I do reading them.

You are so clever. Superb wit....and you're making me crave some tea, too. :) ENJOYED!

I like my tea like the Canadians, nice and strong. My mother always let her tea steep for quite some time. She used cream and sugar. I'm sweet enough so I just use the smallest tad of cream. Very well done m'lady. And if you see me anywhere in those leaves through them out quick.

Clever sums it up for me, too. Nice.

A wonderful read. Are all poets fatalists? It's all in the tea? The last 3 lines were outstanding- thank you. Intestesting piece!

A touch of humor, tongue in cheek, your masterful poetic touch gives us a "tea leaf" peek!

The last three lines grab me and pull me from my stuckness, invite me to create my future, one sip at a time. Thanks, Kristina.
