Guerilla Poets
by V. Blakethe top rated is a warzone, man.
as soon as you hop outta the trench,
and onto the stage,
you're starin' down the barrels
of every malcontent still on the sideline.
the spotlight
is actually just the glow of an LCD screen
focused through a sniper scope.
and be on the lookout for ninjas
with itchy downvote fingers.
in the meantime, just give 'em hell,
and forgive me for keeping my head low,
and resting comfortably behind the riot shield

As for me, I prefer to fight my battles with psychological warfare: I beg a bunch of people to read my poems, and after they do, they all wanna commit suicide to relieve themselves of the anguish. But, ninjas are cool too...

I used to rate using the lower stuff when I first joined but I only mark stuff with average and above now. Sometimes I'll read something and enjoy it, intending to rate it later but forget to go back... I have noticed the warfare though, grownups acting like children for sure! Cool title for this one. |
