Persuasion by Melissa Arel
Your eyebrow lifts in a perfect venetian arch,
a charming grin spreads languidly across your mouth
releasing a bellowing laugh straight from nirvana.
These enveloping arms, so strong and yielding
melt my skin with just a touch; oh one look from you
and I am undone, lost in your sienna eyes and virility.
My heart tumbles within my chest as you lean in for a kiss
your voice is warm, inviting, and I am easily persuaded.

Posted by Michael Smith on 01/04/10 at 07:27 AM I agree with, Ken... watch out girl! :)
I especially liked the words "releasing a bellowing laugh straight from nirvana".

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 01/04/10 at 08:48 PM Though in form this is not a sonnet, to me it reads as once, and achieves a certain bliss. A balance between tenderness and passion. Really lovely work, Melissa. Thanks. |
Posted by Therese Elaine on 01/04/10 at 09:08 PM I love this...it exudes the kind of charisma that such a man possesses -I well understand how you could be persuaded by such!!! |
