The rose Ava Maria

by A. Paige White

Photobucket

Sweet angel tucked away
Your face smiles between the roses
You draw the loveliest thoughts
as a "Goner" to display
And face with me
The day

Author's Note: For You beautiful Maria Angelina...
What an angel you are among the Roses.
Photobucket
p.s. I have your poem "Goner"
on the bulletin board in my office
behind these roses...
Your poetry has decorated the spot for months
and shows no signs of wilting
Like the flowers will...

I don't know what I love most of this, Paige: the exquisite poem, the author's note, or the roses. Though in truth the answer is there in the beauty of you. By the way, 'goner' is precious to me.
Thank you for your kindness.

What sweetness you display in this lovely little poem, and demonstrate how poetry can inspire and draw invite us beyond the everydayness of our lives. I also like the gratitude and love in this beauty.

This is a wonderful tribute. To and fro. There is nothing more beautiful than a rose. Exposing more and more beauty with each unfolding petal. This is like poetry that keeps on giving. But what do I know, I'm a goner.

Beautiful words, beautiful picture, beautiful soul. This entry covers all the senses and also shows the reader a glimpse of the divine in all of us.

there is such potency of feeling and such beauty here that it is difficult to comment. the combination of images and words overwhelm in a most subtle sense.
