False Heart

by Peggie Eng

Zorro has a false heart, should had seen it from the very
start..
Cloked in a cape and a mask of lies, beyond it a demon
resides..
The mask has been thrashed, the cloak has been slashed,
Free at last....

I really like the first and third lines, but I feel like the middle one disrupts the rhythm. The idea is still a strong one, but I can't help but feel you could word it better. Cool regardless, though.

Buyer beware indeed. Sometimes the mask does not a good heart hide.

this poem is so real, so lovely, and so intuitive, and great forecaster to some great lesson for all who have a heart to learn.

From start to that last "last" this is full of revelation, realization, and action packed. I like it a lot.
