Sun toasted cubes
Angels wear in the water
To wake the fins
Seeding cedar rings
Befriending treetop winds
Sow snowflakes
Seating, cedar rings
For fairies of the heated hearth
Sweep your oven Keep
The oaks chewed sunshine all summer
To spit acorns at the fall
Of leaves arriving
Squeaky squirrels at the bark
Trace a trail without fail
To hear the hawk’s cry

I learned by accident those three
keystrokes will lay your screen
on its side. alt (+) ctrl (+) arrow down
will turn your screen upside down.
Oh, I'm going to wreak havoc and chaos
upon my coworkers with this little
Thanksgiving
boon...

Posted by Glenn Currier on 12/17/09 at 04:26 PM You must be trying to put me in league with those squirrels tracing up the bark with this side sliding screen thing. I have a hard enough time just keeping up with things with everything right-side-up. What a magnificent background. Too bad the comments block the most luminous part of it. I love the images and the magic carpet ride you take me on in this poem. Thanks, Paige. |

Posted by Jim Benz on 02/07/10 at 07:43 PM I like the poem - its beautiful Paige - but I really like the new knowledge of the title. (My wife is going to be screaming in a panic over her pc sometime later today!) |
Posted by Jody Pratt on 05/31/12 at 03:44 PM Hmm... must only work with certain computers/settings. Do you use a Mac? I have a PC and this certainly doesn't work for me (perhaps newer comps?).
In any case, beautiful poem, I much enjoyed. :) |
