When I Saw Her Standing There

by Tony Whitaker

The wind is low the birds will sing
That you are part of everything.
When I saw her standing there
Standing by the cast iron shore
Fixing a hole in the ocean

Images of broken light
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy
If the sun don’t come
You get a tan from
Standing in the English rain

By the banks of her own lagoon
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes
Has left a pool of tears
Crying for the day
Let me know the way

I can't say what I feel, but you can steal all these lines from the Beatles? Seems fair.

I love it though.

I'm with Garth on my favorite part. The images are great and drop me into this creative pool in wonder. I look forward to being to fool around with such aplomb.
