Born again Lover

by Shannon McEwen

Flesh slides
Wetness glides

With the very tip
You flip
Your skilled tongue

Across the very edge
Of my soul

Over
And over
And over again
Until I die

Before my
reincarnation

I can't remember who said, "love makes all things new again", something very commercial I'm sure...so unlike what you have done here, your idea, seems to me, maybe only to me, to make us eager to be new again, and afterward, safe within our renewed skin. This is really lovely. Thanks.

ok, well...it doesn't take a genius to map this trip out, but maybe to survive the road. whew...well done. so well.

so soulful so lustful so sensual so chilling so fitting is this ode written in metaphorical ink. I love it, Shannon, Ah, to be born again.
