Encore by Clara Mae GregorySome shall give deceit a hand,
clap and even stand.
In the turbid currents of disbelief,
you are slipping underneath
with your grasp just out of reach.
Wrapped in word’s inside Death’s Lair
And trapped under His palm,
Heavy lies scream for air
until they’re drowned in silent calm.
Last thoughts are lost in prayer.
Yet some shall give deceit a hand,
Clap and even stand
in turbid currents of disbelief.
