If I Were Permitted but One Statement

by Quentin S Clingerman

If I were permitted but one statement
Defining who I am and what I believe
If I could speak but once for here and now
For all the world to hear and see
If only one time my heart could overflow
That all from the least to the greatest should know

There would be no heisitation,
No need for parsing or careful deliberation
The statement is in my constant consciousness
Ready on the tip of my tongue and pen
To be spoken, to be written

Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord
Very God who became Man
Died for us and rose again
For all mankind

That we may, in repentance and faith
Be spared Hell
And gain Heaven
Rejoicing in the life of the Spirit

It occurs to me that we are saved by The Word and by our own words when written from the soul which means written from the Spirit. Your words are salvific. Thanks Q.

Hi Que, Great and wonderful write and how so true. He sure did, our Precious Lord. Just hoping and praying, many others will listen and come to Jesus too.

That first stanza sings with clarity of purpose. I feel a firmness in your belief through your words. WEll done.

This statement is permitted because the ink of love, ink of blood, is written into parchment that lives and breathes, living and laughing... The parchment that is us. You drew me in, Que. I definitely permit your statement on this parchment paige. Thanks, Bro, I needed your statement today.

May your wonderful prayer guide, guard and protect yourself and the hearts of those it touches as they savor these relished words for redemption.
