All by Allison Smith
All around is dark with night
All the world asleep tucked tight
Soft and gentle breeze outside
Moon alight see's over town
A peaceful town
Warming glow the whole Earth round
Here with me you lay asleep
Your gentle breath aside me keep
Echoes from your heart so mild
Lead the way to sleeping lips
Endearing lips
Drawn toward my fingertips
Chest that rises, falls away
Gentle longing night through day
Everywhere your hands meet mine
Overcoming time
Lost within a thousand sighs
Leading me to lustful eyes
Evening settles before too long
Let us meet where dreams belong
Far away in far off lands
Wandering hands,
United, loved and woven in
Settled now, we're bound, begin

Posted by Steven Kenworthy on 10/03/09 at 04:29 AM a rhyming experiment...hmm! this could be excellent...it has 99%, just looking for that karate kick to the chest...then you'll be golden. for rhyme though, it has a lot of flavor and appeal to me. your style is getting growy on me. yum |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 01/08/10 at 01:15 PM I love this experiment of yours, Allison. It resonates so wonderfully for me and so rhythmic, that my eyes cannot help but dance to its delightful beat. |
