The Importance of You

by Shannon McEwen

Elbows pressed into cool emerald blades
Dark hair soaks up mature summer rays
Nine clovers to the right of contemplation
A fuzzy black and yellow winged worker
Goes about his day meticulously unaware
Of the absolute beauty of his movements
And the significance of our very existence

Great last line! Reminds me of the Scripture that says God even sees the sparrow that falls! Lovely poem.

we as humans can be so meticulously unaware of everything around us. We need to work on that. A wonderful poem!

And a stuningly vividly picture this paints for us the readers. I thought it was going to be a love poem when I first saw the title.
