a lost day

by Charlie Morgan

scientists for Curtis Engine Mfg.
couldn't get the orbits straight;

someone suggested the Book of Joshua 10:13,
the Bible, to fix a computer glitch?

in it Joshua asked the Lord to make the Sun
stand still, stop the Sun; keep night away.

there was the missing day! but the elapsed
time in Joshua's day was 23 hours and 20 minutes.

not a whole day! projecting orbits, the forty
minutes would be multiplied many times over.

2nd Kings: 20:9-10 Hezekiah asking for a sign,
beseeching the Sun to go-backward-down ten degrees.

23 hours and 20 minutes in Joshua; plus 40 minutes
from 2 Kings, make the missing day in time.

computers, Bible, man; a scary combination.

Ain't it the truth? Just wait til we find some more hidden answers under the snow... It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search a matter out (that's bible, just not sure of the longitude and latitude, lol). LOVE IT, Chaz! I treasure your friendship...

you used to have a different way to lose a day but that's a different story. Any amount of time is a terrible thing to lose, much less an entire day. But I run across any just laying around I'll save it for you. In the meantime, stay away from computers and read your Bible. LOL- and don't think I missed the connection in Garth's comment between pebble and rocking.
