Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 09/08/09 at 02:48 AM I am completely quieted by these lines. This poem is more than a wonderful idea, for me it approaches sublime. The feelings and images give way to something ethereal. Saying it is an instant favorite of mine, is a gross understatement...it both focal point and reference. I'm blown away by it. Just beautifully, and honestly voiced. Bravo, Peter. And thanks for this. |

Posted by Tony Whitaker on 09/08/09 at 05:43 AM Hi Peter, what a wonderfully compelling piece. It makes me look back at a time when we often went to the coast. Your lines pull me back to those foggy mornings I would walk the beach and everything was so surreal and the foghorns in the mist. MMMMMMMMMM. Nice! |
Posted by Laurie Blum on 09/08/09 at 02:22 PM I completely enjoyed this piece... reminded me of an old Bogart & Bacall Movie. Excellent visual. |

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 09/09/09 at 11:11 PM Well, I love a mystery and the sea and you have combined them beautifully here. It stands me still, quite frankly, and I can clearly hear that fog horn as I wait. Congrats on POTD! |
