Cyclic Avarice(fibonacci) by Clara Mae GregoryFey
nests,
founded
on the rocks
nurtured by the sea,
will swallow up each crashing treat
feeding the frenzy in nests of cyclic avarice.
09/06/2009 Author's Note: This is a fibonacci number sequence practice where I choose to use syllables rather than words at the count 1,1,2,3,5,8,13. Suggestions welcome, especially for the title.

Posted by Maria Terezia Ferencz on 09/06/09 at 10:08 PM I think the last two wordsd of the poem would be a good title. This is interesting and it makes me want to try it. It brings many things to mind, all at once. A crashing of thoughts. |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 09/07/09 at 12:51 PM to fibonacci or not to finbnacci? that is the question!
a question which may never be answered to anyone's satisfaction, still
this lovely poem leaves a reader with fantastic images to mull over breakfast lunch and dinner. surely, this poem is a winner.

Posted by Glenn Currier on 09/07/09 at 02:48 PM Interesting poetic exercise. Conforming to the structure frees the mind to light upon words and images floating out there or in here and to swirl them into a delight such as you have shared here. Thanks for the dip. |
