shooting star man by Kristina Woodhilli have heard tell of a masked shooting star
man
who thinks of dreams in black and white
and slight
man
all day he's armed and loaded, word gun
han
dy
the quintessential taker of life's
can
dy
practicing on targets that fly high
paraded, lauded, balloon-dotted sky's eye,
(see strings on loosely waving wrists,
redsbluesyellowsareanicesolidmix)
all nods appear to cheer
for a perfectly delightful
4-point
lan
ding
he shoots them down
now
think of a blink
of beauty
and he'll sink it
like a finkleberry pie
gone sour
right before
your
very
very,
very
very
fetching
sigh
he's a far cry
from any wolf
i've every known
and the moon
knows a false
rise when
she sees one
and this one
is a sneeze
in the sun
undone
unfun
sprayed
all over
shotgun
stunner
who ought
to keep his
push
buttoned
silence
to himself

| Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 08/30/09 at 06:58 PM Here, here...well said, for one cannot have an honorable and chivalrous spirit if ones conduct is mean and paltry; for whatever a persons actions are, such must be their spirit. Pity the spirit that must dwell there within such a host.

| Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 08/30/09 at 10:58 PM I love what the moon knows. ;) |

| Posted by Glenn Currier on 08/31/09 at 03:46 PM The tearing and shooting down is so easy and cowardly - takes little courage - just brokenness in need of healing and now knowing it. The most dangerous of the broken ones. Inglorious shooter get thee behind us! Well and poetically expressed standing up for the creative ones. Thanks. |
