Profound Revelations

by Chris Sorrenti

#1

one cannot fully appreciate order
until having lived through disorder

#2

a platonic relationship is like mashed potatoes
with butter and salt but no gravy

#3

the grass may be greener on the other side of the fence
but eventually it has to be mowed too

#4

violence is the real pornography

#5

in this world we own nothing
only possess things for periods of time

#6

apart from rules and regulations cast in law
everything else is arbitrary
though one can arbitrarily choose to ignore the law

...all true, all too true...ponderous reminders, I appreciate your maxims here muchly. Here's another revelation, concerning revelations and their edicts: Sacred cows make the tastiest hamburger. To me that means, let improvisation and eclecticism rock forever. Thanks.

Quite profound,Chris.....as well as true. I enjoyed reading your poetical clarifications of profound metaphorical revelations...thanks for sharing.

What is profound is the life well-lived and well-examined from which these revelations proceed. I am in a pool of gratitude of that life. Thanks for the wisdom. Thanks for hanging in there so long - and for hanging out here.
