Posted by Glenn Currier on 08/25/09 at 11:51 PM Much more empathy for worms and wormsavers than vampires. I know there has to be some deeper reason for the vampire rage, but I have missed it. Oh well, one can't focus on everything. I especially like the final act of mercy. |
Posted by George Hoerner on 08/26/09 at 01:02 AM Protect all things living or not as you are able. Worms serve a purpose as you gardeners know. Now vampires? Well give them a break it is really hard to sleep well during the day. Just as anyone that has worked the night shift. |
Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 08/26/09 at 05:58 AM It's good to be nice to worms...else they'er clan will pay us back one day. I imagine, to a garden dirt and worms are as caviar and toast-points to the nouveau-riche...Thanks. |
Posted by Jo Halliday on 08/26/09 at 12:49 PM Maybe that's why Hollywood makes more films on vampires? Though worms are also in the running, I don't think they still match even the dinosaurs! A lovely write. |
Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 08/27/09 at 01:56 PM Fascinating comparison! I've often wondered why worms crawl out on pavement or asphalt to be "cooked" by the sun! As to vampires, they seem an adult extension of fairy tales! |

Posted by James Zealy on 08/28/09 at 04:50 AM Hmmm vampires are predators of flesh and soul, and worms are well worms. It would be interesting to know who is the vampire and who is the worm |
Posted by Laura Doom on 08/28/09 at 07:08 PM I usually wait until the worm has turned -- most people like them soggy-side-up...
I'd laugh, but for the dyspepsia. |
