did he know me

by Charlie Morgan

hummingbirds whirr by, one lands on my finger.
he must have recognized my hand and arm.

we hadn't been introduced, yet; but, he came
to make my acquaintance, i obliged.

a Texan holding a Colorado hummingbird;
Neal Armstrong stepping on the Moon.

nearly the same; just different;
a slight nod to a Life unknown.

Hummingbirds are one of my favorite of Gods creatures. I've had them chirp at me while sitting on my clothesline and drink from the end of my water hose. I love to watch them.

Magic. Sometimes it visits you.

maybe he didn't know you, maybe he did, who knows? but you captured the moment, and maybe he is a single serving friend

One miracle knowing another. One small step - every day - into new Life. Keep in bringing it Chaz!

You are one sweet fellow, apparently. I enjoyed this very much, Charlie. Thank you.
