Leaf
Leaf
Swiftly by
Downstream
Swimming swimming
Passing by

All too soon

Stop the air!
Freeze time!
Scoop the water
And let me take
The water
In my
hands
To my
lips

Let me drink you in
So you don’t pass
So quickly by

All too soon

Gone too soon

So sorry. Your joy in him of course obvious, yet it seems we rarely drink our fill when the fountain is at full force. Touching poetics. Thanks.

You have demonstrated not only a sense of loss but of overcoming that loss in loving memory. May you continue to know God's compassionate care.

the structure and words in this convey such a wonderful life and freedom...it's a beautiful tribute...and I am sorry for your loss...and I think that, in your words, others may also find some peace, which is just amazing...so thank you for sharing this...

Thank you for expressing so beautifully the river of your love. This is very touching to me. What a sweet, gentle tribute to Wesley. Life is so fleeting, but poets like you pause it and make its sparkle linger.

...reality bites and even God's reality is still misunderstood by us...so we cope and you cope well with such a misunderstanding of humanness is this tragedy...i so adore your words, they make Wesley [come] alive for me, hugs and high fives for making him a glorious legacy of your love...

This is a very inspiring piece. It reminded me of something sacred I used to believe in when I younger. Thank you for helping to remember a piece of myself.
