Fetish

by Chris Sorrenti

the images walk in from all directions
as if some unseen entity knows me too well
sending what I need to keep the antsy away
exporting my hunger to the outside

newspapers - magazines - television - Internet
like a lunatic I rush to gather the bounty
my proverbial cup never having enough room
hypnotized by their shape and colour
I cut them out with x-acto, electronics
then rarely look at them again
confident he’s got more on the way

but the best come from reality
those I’ve no choice but to save in my mind
in the dead of Winter, I dream of Spring and Summer
when a different season reigns supreme
at the supermarket, on the bus to work
their owners unknowingly putting them on display

the face is important, the key to the rest
I’m sure most men would agree
their eyes travelling down to drool over bust or loin
but my favorite anatomy lies furthest south
preferably clean out of the shower
and as for my friend, I’ve yet to determine
whether he’s an angel or a demon

Nice final touch. But even without it, this is still wildly original storytelling and verse on your part. For some reason, this brings to mind the best monolouges from The Twilight Zone. Brilliant write, sir.

oh my, you draw me into this one...and I'm not even all that fond of feet :) You tell it like no one else could -- and I've been wondering where you've been, so it's really great to read you this morning.

Naughty fun on the fringes....yes, well done, and honest for the rest of us , if we will admit, too! Thanks.

So well written that "explicit" seems unnecessary. (I am a "leg" man myself. My wife had an exceptionally beautiful pair of legs I must say!)

You depict for wandering eyes the wonder of walking thoughts, images and more...Grazie*m.a
