Good Morning Pooh by Maude CurtisI awake every morning at the crack of dawn
and my first thought is of you.
I wonder if there the darkness is gone
and the grass glistens with morning dew?
I lay here and listen to the birds
awakening for the day.
I wish I could understand their words.
What a beautiful sound they display.
Laying here 'neath a quilt of down,
it's a peace I wish I could share.
Listening to the morning sounds,
I offer up a silent prayer.
Protect my love thoughout the day,
remind him how much I care.
from his belly paunch to hair of grey.
I love you my Pooh Bear.
