Don't ever say you're Sorry

by Maude Curtis

Don't ever say you're sorry
for having a life without me.
I've had a life too, without you.

Don't ever say you're sorry
because you couldn't call.
But you wanted to, I knew.

Don't ever say you're sorry,
even when you know I cry.
Without you here, I get so blue.

Don't ever say you're sorry
that we've been apart so long.
The fault was on me and you.

Don't ever say you're sorry.
Just hurry home to me
so we can start our lives anew.

your pen has touched upon something very tender and loving and true and sad and yes, relating all too well with the human heart.

How touching, and sweet, and kind...and true. I've tears in my eyes!
