Do you feel me, feeling you?

by Chelle Morris

I feel naked, a heart laid bare; for the first time I am completely exposed,
as you continue to revive dead nerves and open locks I considered closed.
Every day you speak to me, in volumes I don't think I have known before,
a love so true, refreshed and pure; I believe there is nothing I could want for more -
A heart that knows no measures, as you release a love so strong,
in a way that nobody's felt for me before, a gentle love I've lingered for, for so long.
Many times I've thought of you and my mind takes me somewhere else,
from a lonesome desk at work to another world with just you and myself.
If ever perfection existed then I am led to believe I have found it in you,
a tender surprise of affection and love, entwined with every little thing you say and do.
Never has a love felt so right, could it be that I have never truly loved before,
and I'm starting to feel so overwhelmed that I doubt I could breathe without you anymore.
I wonder sometimes if you know that you are the reason behind the beat in my heart,
and that tears cloud my eyes if ever I think of a time our paths may part.
On a journey you've taken me; into another destination with so much left to explore,
and to hold your hand throughout it all, would be the defination of idealism - this I know.
Do you know of the depths of my love for you, the words still left untold,
for no sentence or rhyme could ever explain the passion and desire my heart beholds.
Lessons of time almost left me bitter; for romance I have never yearned,
but your heartfelt, whispered words have brought life to a flame I didn't realise still burned.
I live for the touch, soon to be felt when you clasp your hand gently around mine,
and the possiblity of a future where your heart and mine are truly combined.
I long for the precious, treasured moment where I am blessed to kiss your lips,
and given the chance to live out the moments that I feel we've missed.
You know, once I measured the distance between us and found the stretch wasn't far,
for I feel you beside me and my heart follows you to wherever you are.
My life has been promised with an unending love, the promise mine for you will never fade,
and I have hopes of one day looking back at the many memories we've made-
Since meeting that first day, and embarking on a journey lived together,
and wishing with every beat of my heart, that we'll make many more in the time of 'forever'.
Finally I have found honesty, I know my love is real, and yours for me is true,
and tonight, when I lay down to sleep, I will be wondering...

Do you feel me, feeling you?

Chelle, you should enter this in the Valentine's contest. It would win hands down. It's one of the most beautiful poems I've ever read.

This is just overflowing with love for another, and reciprocated. What could be more magical. Congrats on POTD!
