in this spa

by Mary Frances Spencer

we are all ages
bodies mapping time
mixed colors ages
grandma is here too
dipping in pools
lounging in salty steam
breathing jade oxygen
we find a moment
to be free
to shed the old
skins
today we
are all
naked
and have never been more
beautiful

Author's Note: I enjoyed my experience at a Korean Women's Spa here in Los Angeles. I highly recommend going if there is one near you. Very relaxing! MFS

Very nice m'lady. And yes, it should be enjoyed more frequently.

It sounds pretty nice. Beautiful little bit of writing here.

I find fascinating, the whole notion of this poem. Ultimately it is an ode to love.

Where all are intent on the same mission. You express the feeling of "sisterhood" of comaraderie in improving ones health.

What a lovely poem! Yes, nothing like a day at the spa! This brings back memories of my spa experiences!

Loved "bodies mapping time". You take us to our basic state and rejuvenate with your words. Congrats on POTD!
