Love and Tolerance

by Wendy Sparling

When love was a THOUGHT
blossoming into devotion,
tolerance developed slowly
and maturity ebbed with the tide.

I need not go forward nor backward
for my fortress holds my head high
and my insight breeds tolerance
for all who dare to forsake me.

I stand steadfast aware of BEING
and I LIVE every precious MOMENT,
while inhaling the peaceful essence
of tranquility in silent abundance.

This is so beautiful, Wendy. As soothing and calming as the scene you graced your poetry with. Totally fitting. Just what I needed. Thank you for sharing.

Very beautiful write Wendy. Would that the world would read this and take a lesson for life from it. The picture for me is also breath taking. I used to sail some and the ocean will always hold a spell on me.

Quite the spiritual piece of introspection Wendy, and nicely complemented by the animated image. Congrats also on hitting no.1! :o)

Wendy - this is gorgeous in word and the photo is just captivating. I'm basking in the moonlight of your words, and they fill my lonely night with such a hope for tomorrow and feeling better. Thank you for your inspiration.
