Allune by Jason MoskalykTaut echoes of night
Rushing, repleting it's hours
To devour the little corners
rivers and gullies...
and carry the strange sighs
of urban bestiaries
jumping through juxtaposed streets
it ebbs in nightshore velvet
calm and cool verdance
and leases me, mere mortal
to be a vein in the current
and a silent carrier of dreams
I stop shivering
and douse my fear
in icy black waters
with pounds of plunge
inside my chest
knowing that I can plead
and direct this heart
to push toward their surface. 11/23/2008 Posted on 11/24/2008 Copyright © 2024 Jason Moskalyk

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 11/25/08 at 12:50 PM there is a lot of energy here which you spend wisely
in each stanza. |
