one woman firing squad

by Dani Rose

you,
of little faith
stood
valiantly
within the line
of fire.
i,
whose laughter
you described
as the sound
of a thousand
windows
shattering,
toyed carelessly
with a verbal
trigger-
and
i
did
not
hesitate.

This is powerful. I guess we've all been there. I love this. Fantastic POTD!

Congrats on POTD! I enjoyed the structure of this very much. That ending is quite deadly. Well done.

Wonderfully tense, like a drawn bow, and it releases so well. Thank you very much!
