My smile

by Dave Fitzgerald

My smirk is like a Nike swoosh.
It is a unique smile.
Everyone will want one
because my smile's in style.

From a very early age
my smile has been lop-sided.
I think it started sloping more
the more my mother chided.

But I don't really notice
the angle of my grin,
if my teeth are showing or
if my lips are thin.

I don't tend to think about
my smiles shape and size
so I hope that people see
that I'm smiling with my eyes.

YOu have me going with this poem... never really examining my smile in my long life, but I know the feeling of smiling with my eyes... just never thought of it till now. Delightful poem, Dave.

I like reading about the parts of people that makes them uniquely them, and this really adds to your resume. Thanks, Dave.

I loved the wordplay and the imagery and, of course, the ending. I guess that is everything. Nice!!!
