driving through this Senru, peopled with antelope and cows was a filling experience for me, and had the cows grazed on such an ode as this, perhaps they would not be as thin as they appear, now, but fatted and ready for market, which, given such is their fate, hurts me to utter, as cows ultimately are my brothers.

ha! for some reason, this made me think of skinny cow Ice Cream, and that's how commercials work! Other than that wierd association, I thought this was a great senryu. I remember the first time I saw antelope...skinny cows indeed.
