Small Irritations by Glenn CurrierThe old couple
at the next table
their slow soft chat
hints of smiles
laden with a million facets
of their intimacy.
How many times
they must have ignored
the small irritations:
her unspoken comment
about his parking where he shouldn't,
he judging her
as "sink police" for leaving water
on the counter top. 10/16/2008 Posted on 10/16/2008 Copyright © 2025 Glenn Currier
