the wasp and the bee by Andrew S Adamsthis morning, i woke up
and had my cigarette.
in the midst of what
usually cleans the cobwebs
i notice a wasp
and a bee;
and, let's just say that
this wasp was not playing
so nicely.
and i think for
but a quick moment
(right before the nicotine hits)
that maybe i should get in there
and break it up
but
my hand in
that war
is the death of us all
and so,
i sit
watching the world work. 09/18/2008 Posted on 09/18/2008 Copyright © 2024 Andrew S Adams

Posted by Nanette Bellman on 09/18/08 at 02:31 PM It's amazing how big of picture you can see from such little things. Great read. |
Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 09/18/08 at 03:32 PM The simplicity of this is most pleasing - the last three lines most satisfying. |
Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 09/18/08 at 04:41 PM A lot of my mornings seem to run like that, but I think you described it best. Well done, sir. |
Posted by Joan Serratelli on 03/16/09 at 03:07 PM "my hand in that war is the death of us all"- that says it all! I would have killed them, rather than risk a sting. Loked this piece alot- good job |
