by Steven Kenworthy

she is resident 94,

she,you
you'll have to sit and rest well with my imperfections.
i have so many.
i have a set of things about myself

i have dreams of you.
i have so many dreams of you

every now and then in life you take the long road, the tougher path.

dream to make believe

says the painting on my wall.
you make me believe.

you make me see.
& then there are the dreams.

patience has the time coming and ringing
bellsandchimes and bells, harmonies voices
we all have the same fantasy don't we

best friend with your swarmy eyes
you make me smile, on fire and pinched,
brave

i want to be with you

I love "you’ll have to sit and rest well with my imperfections."—superb line!...I have to say this poem flows as if the sweet n savory "she" in the poem is resting right on your palette, or perhaps at the tip of your pen...and the "I" in this piece (making no assumptions), that brave soul lingers in these dream cloud stanzas pondering the possibility of love, how organic for a poet...I think Dante would agree, we tend to share the same fantasy, perhaps just different interpretations of it...well done!!...hope I didn't run on a tangent too much...a pleasure as always :) peace, jewels

i'm the guy in the back seat watching you drive the bus. don't worry, i'll pull the cord and you'll know when i want off. for the time being, i envy the way you handle the road.

I love to take a peek at your dreams SK! Well written! When can I get a t-shirt?

...s.k., this has a fantastic layout, from line 1 all the way...the stylistics speak of the "Everyman/Woman" making sense of the non-sensible...sorta like you say 'dream to make believe' toooo much!, and what julie said...and the crowning glory is the style, i love it...

A briefer delving than your usual, but it still hits the mark. "patience has the time coming and ringing bellsandchimes and bells, harmonies voices we all have the same fantasy don’t we" - my fav stanza.

Mingling dreams with a friend... you piece together the strands of relationship and self in an evocative and thought-provoking way. Well done.
